Description of Works

Ford Civil Contracting were given a concept bridge and boardwalk design for the continuation of the M4 cycleway project over the Allen St canal from the RTA.

Ford Civil then completed designs and constructed the single span truss bridge under the strict surveillance and specifications of the RTA.

A raised boardwalk was also part of the works to enable the construction of the cycleway on the steep batters beside the existing road. The project was completed within time and budget and to the satisfaction of the RTA.
