Description of Works
-
Sensitive excavation under Sydney’s prestigious Town Hall Building, to allow for construction of a new basement level and installation of high quality architectural finishes.
-
Safety objectives were achieved through use of monitoring; i.e. noise, dust and vibration, as well as design and construction of a heavy duty ventilation system to ensure dust and fumes were exhausted from the worksite at all times. Extensive monitoring of the dust for respirable dirt and silica was routinely carried out by our Consultants, Getex.
-
Vibration and noise monitoring was routinely monitored to ensure vibration did not exceed the permissible allowance for Town Hall, set by the consultants. As a result the above works were completed successfully and safely to both the Builders’ and Councils’ utmost satisfaction.
