DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

Sutherland Shire Council engaged Ford Civil to restore the condition of the Cronulla Esplanade Peninsula Walkway between Cronulla RSL and Mentone Ave. The Cronulla Esplanade project consisted of a newly developed pedestrian thoroughfare along the South Cronulla beach front.

The works included the upgrade of an existing footway and stairs to improve accessibility for users between The Esplanade and the beach precinct. The works were constructed while maintaining pedestrian access, restaurant operations and vehicle access with minimal impact on residents and the greater community.

Temporary stairs were installed for the duration of the project to reduce disruption to this crucial section of the walkway, with multiple detours set in place for pedestrian access and safety.
